System troubleshooting in the ignition and fuel injection system



Before starting troubleshooting using this table, the following conditions must be met: There is no operating error during start-up. Fuel in the fuel tank, the engine is mechanically ok (compression test), the battery is charged, the starter develops a sufficient number of revolutions, the presence of dirt in the fuel system is excluded, there is an electrical contact with the ground (engine - gearbox - body).

Attention! When troubleshooting system problems, always go from top to bottom in the order shown. A Ford workshop can interrogate the control unit's fault memory using a tester for more in-depth diagnosis.
