Visual control of transmission tightness

Oil leakage is possible in the following places:

• The junction of the engine block and gearbox (flywheel seal / shaft seal - gearbox).
• Joint halves of the gearbox housing.
• Oil filler/drain screw plug.
• Model with all-wheel drive: gearbox - cardan shaft.

When looking for a leak, proceed as follows:

Clean the gearbox housing with a cold cleaner.

Check the oil level, top up if necessary.

Sprinkle chalk or talc on potential oil leaks.

Take a test drive. To make the oil liquid, you should drive at an increased speed of about 30 km.

Then raise the car and inspect the transmission with a lamp for an oil leak.

Repair any oil leak immediately. Then top up see point 10.6.
