Removing and installing the front seat (Mondeo 1)

Removal

Remove the T50 seat belt mounting bolts from the seat and pull the belt through the trim.

Move the seat to the full forward position.

Remove the rear seat mount cover mounting bolts.



Remove the four mounting bolts.

Move the seat to its rearmost position.

Remove the front mounting bolts and remove the seat.

Power seat

Disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.

Warning! This will erase data in electronic memory devices, such as the engine fault memory device or the radio code. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.

Disconnect the seat actuator multi-pin plug.

Installation

Install the front seat and loosely install the bolts. On the power seat: Connect the multi-plug.

Tighten the front and then the rear mounting bolts to a torque of 40 Nm.

Pass the seat belt through the trim and tighten to a torque of 40 Nm.

Check that the seat is locked in both positions.

If necessary, connect the ground (-) wire to the battery terminal. Set the time on the clock. Set the anti-theft code of the radio.
