Withdrawal



Disconnect the ground wire (-) from the battery.

Attention! As a result, data in electronic storage devices, such as an engine fault memory or a radio code, are erased. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.


Turn out fastening and remove an internal covering A-, B- and C-pillars.

Remove the interior lighting see 21.7.

If equipped, unscrew and remove the sunroof handle or remove the sunroof power switch.



Remove the roof console. To do this, unscrew the two screws, push the console towards the windshield and release the clamps.

Remove the screws securing the sun visors by first removing the plugs with a small screwdriver. If necessary, disconnect the multi-pin mirror plug.

Remove the screws securing the handrails, after removing the plugs with a small screwdriver.



Release the six holders -arrows-. The illustration shows a Turnier, for Limousin/Fastbuck, the roof lining is attached with four brackets.


If available, remove the sunroof trim.

Remove the roof lining.

Attention! On Fastbuck and Turnier models, pull the trim through the opening in the rear cargo area cover. On a Limousine, pull the roof lining through the rear door opening.


Installation



Install roof lining and secure with retainers.

If available, install the sunroof opening trim.

Fasten the handrails, insert the plugs into the screw holes.

Attach the sun visors, insert the plugs into the screw holes. If necessary, connect the mirror's multi-pin plug.

If equipped, fit and secure the sunroof handle or install the power sunroof switch.

Install interior lighting see 21.7.

Attach the A-, B- and C-pillar trims.

Connect the ground wire to the battery terminal (-).

Set the time on the clock.

Set the anti-theft radio code.
