Dismantling and installation of the rear suspension strut

PROCEDURE
  1. On level ground, securely place the rear of the vehicle on jack stands and additionally support the front axle with a wheel chock.
  2. Remove the corresponding wheel.
  3. Remove the parking brake cable from the brake caliper. To do this, squeeze the locking tabs 1 and hang the cable 2.

  4. Remove the ABS sensor (indicated by an arrow) from the wheel hub.

  5. Unscrew the brake caliper together with the shield, hang them with a wire in the wheel arch and...
  6. ...pull the wheel brake disc out of the wheel housing. If it is pinched, gently help yourself with a plastic mallet.
  7. Unscrew the four screws (indicated by arrows) and disconnect the hub from the mounting flange.

  8. Remove the lower wishbones (front and rear) from the steering knuckle (indicated by arrows).

  9. Unscrew the trailing arm from the steering knuckle and...
  10. ...remove the stabilizer link.
  11. Disconnect the steering knuckle (indicated by an arrow) and take it off.

  12. Remove the stabilizer link from the shock absorber and...
  13. ... use a hydraulic car jack to remove the spring strut from the edge of the additional frame. To do this, lift the suspension strut 1, press it away from the edge of the auxiliary frame 2 and lower it slowly with a jack.
