Removal
Washer pump and reservoir
1. Apply the parking brake. Loosen the right front wheel nuts. Raise the front end and place it on supports. Remove the wheel.
2. Remove the bolts and release the clamps to remove the lower radiator cover. To access the reservoir, release the fender fasteners (where necessary).
3. Loosen the mounting bolts and pull the tank forward slightly (see Fig. 22.3). For better access, you can remove the front bumper.

4. Disconnect the electrical connectors of the windshield washer pump and the fluid level sensor in the reservoir (see Fig. 22.4).

5. Disconnect the hoses from the windshield washer pump and (if available) from the headlight washer pump. Place a container under the reservoir.
6. Remove the tank.
7. Remove the fluid level sensor, windshield washer pump and (if equipped) headlight washer pump from the reservoir (see Fig. 22.7).

8. Remove the rubber seals.
Windshield washer nozzle
9. Secure the hood in the open position. Carefully disconnect the washer tube from the lower part of the nozzle.
10. Carefully remove the injector with a screwdriver. If necessary, disconnect the wiring from the injector heater.
Washer nozzle (rear window)
11. Open the tailgate, remove the interior trim panel from the top of the door.
12. Remove the tube from the bottom of the washer nozzle (see Fig. 22.12).

13. Carefully remove the nozzle from the glass. Then remove the rubber bushing (see Fig. 22.13,a,b). If necessary, disconnect the wiring from the nozzle heater.


Washer nozzle (headlights)
14. Remove the front bumper (chapter 11).
15. Disconnect the washer tube from the nozzle base.
16. Remove the retainer and remove the nozzle from the bumper.
Installation
17. Installation - in the reverse order of removal. To install the nozzles, press them into place. The rear window washer nozzle should rest on the rubber seal.
