CD Player

1. This unit is installed on most of the high-equipment models. On some models, a disc changer unit is installed, which can hold several discs at the same time.

Withdrawal

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable before working.

CD player or automatic disc change control device

3. The procedure is the same as described in paragraph 23.

CD changer - pre-1996 models

4. This device is installed in the luggage compartment on the right side. The wiring harness runs along the C-pillar, passes through the left front pillar and then enters the center console.

5. Remove the facing cover from the block.

6. Remove the mounting screws and remove the unit from its support bracket.

7. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the block.

CD Changer - Release Models since 1997

8. This device is mounted on a bracket under the front passenger seat.

9. Remove the seat (chapter 11).

10. Remove the bolts on each side of the assembly and disconnect the wiring connector (see fig. 25.10, a, b). Slide the assembly off the bracket and pull it out.

Installation

11. Installation - in the reverse order of removal.
