If noise is heard in the bearing in the disengaged state, i.e. the clutch pedal is pressed all the way, this means that the clutch release bearing is defective.

Removal

Remove the gearbox.

Remove the gearbox.

Disconnect the clutch release bearing from the bearing fork at the top and bottom and remove it from the gearbox input shaft.

Examination

Examination

Squeeze and turn the clutch release bearing at the same time. If the bearing is noisy, it must be replaced.

Attention! The bearing is lubricated with long-term grease, it does not need to be cleaned or lubricated.

Check sliding surfaces for wear, corrosion and defects.

Installation

Lubricate all bearing and tangential surfaces with high-temperature MoS2 paste. If necessary, remove any resin-containing paste residue.

Caution! Do not apply too thick a layer of lubricant, as when the clutch is installed, excess lubricant may get onto the rubbing surfaces.

Install the clutch release bearing and connect it to the fork.

Install the gearbox, see p. 10.1.
