Brake light malfunctions (Mondeo 3)

Cause
Elimination
A. The separate brake light does not light.
  1. Defective lamp.
  2. Open in ground connection. Do all other lights on the same back side light up?
  3. Break in the power supply wire.
  1. Replace.
  2. Replace (clean) the ground wire.
  3. Check the wire. Replace it.
B. All brake lights are not on.
  1. Fuse defective.
  2. Defective brake light switch.
  1. Check and replace if necessary.
  2. Adjust the pedal stroke.
Q. The brake lights stay on continuously.
  1. The brake pedal is hanging.
  2. Defective brake light switch.
Check the brake light switch and power wires.
