Wiper blade failures (General information / Help with malfunctions / Ford Mondeo 3 2000-2007)

Cause	elimination
A. Water and dirt are evenly distributed throughout the cleaning sector.
The glass is contaminated with lacquer care products, oily or incremental residues. Windshield wiper rubber worn. The wiper arm is rotated at the pivot point and is not parallel to the glass.	Apply to glass «Sidol» or other cleaning agent, let dry and wipe with a clean cloth. Replace. Bend end of wiper arm (slightly twist).
B. Thin streaks of water remain in the cleaning sector.

B. Several water lanes remain in the cleanup sector.
The angle of the wiper blade is too sharp in relation to the glass.	Replace rubber band.
D. Thin drops of water remain in the cleaning sector.
Uneven Downforce - A bent or defective pressure spring in the wiper rubber band.	Replace wiper blade.
E. A water film remains in the cleaning sector.
The downforce of the wiper arm is low. Worn wiper drive. The wiper arm is free in its axis. The wiper arm is bent. The wiper blade is bent.	Check clamping force. Lightly lubricate the spring, tighten the wiper arm more or replace. Check and replace defective parts. Fasten. Bend. Replace.
E. Water zones remain in the upper cleaning sector.

G. The brush crackles.
Large gap in the windshield wiper linkage. The wiper arm is free. The wiper arm rotates.	Replace worn parts. Fasten. Remove the wiper blade and align the arm.
