Cause

A. The oil pressure indicator light remains dark when the ignition is on.
  1. The oil pressure indicator light is defective.
  2. The plug connection is corroded or there is a break in the cable connection.
  3. The hydraulic switch is defective.
  1. Replace.
  2. Check and clean, replace the wire if necessary.
  3. Check and replace if necessary.
B. The oil pressure warning light glows when the engine is hot and idling and goes out when the engine speed increases.
Hot and therefore liquid oil.

If possible, switch to an oil with a higher viscosity.
B. The oil pressure indicator light goes out only at high engine speeds.
The bypass valve in the main oil line is leaking. Check the oil pressure, replace the valve if necessary.
G. The oil pressure indicator light comes on only when the engine is started and does not go out even when gas is supplied.
  1. Not enough oil in the engine.
  2. The oil pump receiver screen is defective or the pump itself is worn out.
  3. See A2 and A3.
  1. Check the oil level and top up if necessary.
  2. Check and replace if necessary.
  3. Move on only when the cause is established.
