Cause

A. The oil pressure indicator light stays dark when the ignition is on.
  1. The oil pressure indicator light is defective.
  2. The plug connection is corroded or there is a break in the cable connection.
  3. The hydraulic switch is defective.
  1. Replace.
  2. Check and clean, if necessary, replace the wire.
  3. Check, replace if necessary.
B. The oil pressure warning light glows when the engine is warm at idle and goes out when the engine speed increases.
Hot and therefore liquid oil.

Switch to a higher viscosity oil if possible.
B. The oil pressure warning light goes out only at high speeds.
The bypass valve in the main oil line is leaking. Check oil pressure, replace valve if necessary.
D. The oil pressure indicator lamp lights up only when the engine is started and does not go out even when gas is supplied.
  1. Not enough oil in the engine.
  2. The oil pump receiver mesh is defective or the pump itself is worn out.
  3. See A2 and A3.
  1. Check oil level, top up if necessary.
  2. Check and replace if necessary.
  3. Move on only when the cause is established.
