Malfunctions of the sound and light signaling system (Mondeo 3)

Cause	Elimination
A. The direction indicator lamp lights up for short intervals, the hazard warning lights operate at a normal rhythm.
Defective direction indicators or weak contacts.	Replace - Eliminate loose contacts with contact spray.
B. The direction indicators and the indicator lamp do not light in the same rhythm.
Defect in the turn signal relay.	Replace.
Q. Direction indicators are OK – hazard warning lights are not working.
Defective fuse. Open circuit in the wire from the hazard warning light switch plug to the turn signal fuse or relay. Defect in the hazard warning light switch.	Replace. Check the current flow and repair if necessary. Replace.
G. Direction indicators do not work – hazard warning lights are OK.
Open circuit in the wire between the turn signal switch and the turn signal relay.	Check the current flow and repair if necessary.
