Coolant Temperature Warning Light

As the engine warms up, the indicator needle moves toward the red zone. At elevated temperatures, the coolant boils. In this case, stop driving, turn off the engine and let it idle for one to two minutes, then check. Possible causes of the malfunction:

- a short-term movement of the arrow to the red zone, considered a normal phenomenon, can occur in full load mode, when driving in mountainous terrain or in a column in extreme heat;

- after stopping the heated engine, the arrow moves into the red zone;

- liquid pump failure;

- low coolant level, check and top up if necessary;

- thermostat is jammed, to check, touch the radiator (if it is cold, this is a clear sign of jamming);

- the fan does not turn on (the fan fuse has blown);

- the radiator is dirty - clean it from the inside.

Fuel reserve indicator

It works after the ignition is turned on. The arrow is set in the position corresponding to the amount of fuel in the tank. If the fuel level in the tank has dropped to 6 liters, the control lamp lights up.

Direction indicator control

The arrows must light up separately for each indicator, and when the hazard warning lights are turned on, both must light up simultaneously.

Speedometer

Immediately after the start of movement, the device arrow should move.

Trip meter and trip meter

Check whether the trip meter readings are reset after pressing the corresponding button when the vehicle is stationary.

Tachometer

The tachometer shows the engine crankshaft speed. The needle should not move into the red range. Optimum fuel consumption corresponds to the car moving in high gears at a speed of 3000 min⁻¹. When driving new cars during the break-in period, the speed should not exceed 130 km/h, and the engine speed should be 3500 min⁻¹.

Oil pressure warning light

If the oil pressure warning light comes on while driving, stop the car immediately and check the oil level. If it is normal and the warning light comes on, have the car towed to the nearest service station.

Watch

The clock runs continuously because it is always supplied with voltage. If the battery is disconnected, the clock stops and the time must be set again.

Airbag warning light

After turning on the ignition, the lamp lights up for about 10 seconds; if it goes out, the airbag module is ready for operation.

ABS warning light

The anti-lock braking system indicator light comes on briefly after the ignition is turned on (about 3 seconds). When the engine crankshaft rotates or the driving speed exceeds 5 km/h, the light goes out.

Battery charge indicator light

The battery charge indicator light should light after the ignition is turned on, and it should go out when the engine is running. If it lights up while driving, first check the alternator belt. Otherwise, the alternator is faulty.

Brake system warning light

Lights up when the parking brake is applied or when the brake fluid level is low. If the parking brake lever is not applied and the light comes on, check the brake fluid level immediately. This often leads to the need to check the brake system for leaks (checking is mandatory).

Brake pad wear indicator light

The brake pad wear indicator lamp lights up when braking if the front and/or rear brake pads are worn to the minimum permissible thickness. Replace the pads.

High beam indicator lamp

The high beam indicator lamp lights up blue when the high beam lights are flashing or when the high beam is on.

Rear window heating indicator light

Check if the indicator light in the switch comes on when the heating is turned on.

Fog light indicator lamp

The lamp should light when the fog lights are turned on.

Warning light indicator lamp

The indicator lamp should flash in sync with the direction indicator.
