Fig. 300, 301, 302, 303 show the belt routing diagrams on the corresponding engines.
The process of removing and installing the belt is different for these engines.
To remove the drive belt on all engines, perform the following procedure:
- disconnect the ground wire from the battery;
- Raise the front of the car on supports;
- unscrew the mudguard under the belt drive (if installed);

- turn the bolt in the middle of the tension roller, as shown in Fig. 304, with a spanner to the right (clockwise) until the belt becomes free, remove the belt. On the V6 engine, there is a square hole in the middle of the belt tensioner, a corresponding insert head is required to rotate the tension roller;
- lay the new belt according to the arrangement of the belt pulleys, as shown in the corresponding figure. Be sure to ensure that the belt is laid in the middle of all belt pulleys, tighten the pressure roller again.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Reinstall the pressure roller after the belt has been placed in all belt pulleys.
