Forced deactivation of parking mode (Mondeo 1 and 2)

If the battery is discharged, it may be difficult to move the selector lever out of the "P" parking position.

To move the selector lever out of the "P" position, insert a handle or any suitable rod into the hole located in the lower part of the center console on the front passenger side. Feel and press the rod to the lock and at the same time move the selector lever out of the park position.

Caution: If the selector lever returns to the park position, the procedure must be repeated.
