Vehicle maintenance plan (Mondeo 1)

            0

Maintenance should be performed at least once a year. If during this time more than 10,000 km (diesel models) or more than 15,000 km (carburetor engine) have been driven, then maintenance should be performed after this mileage. Under severe operating conditions, for example, when predominantly driving in urban transport conditions and on short sections of the road, frequent trips in mountainous areas, driving with a trailer and on dusty highways, perform maintenance accordingly more often.

Engine

Engine oil: changing oil and oil filter.

Cooling and heating system: checking the fluid level, monitoring the concentration of antifreeze. Visual inspection for leaks and external contamination of the radiator.

V-belt: checking tension and condition.

Exhaust device: check for damage.

Engine: visual inspection for oil leaks.

Diesel engine: drying the fuel filter.

Gearbox, clutch, final drive

Protective shells of hinges: check for damage and leaks.

Clutch: check clutch adjustment, adjust clutch rod if necessary.

Automatic transmission: checking the oil level.

Gearbox: visual inspection for leaks.

Front axle and steering

Tie rod ends: checking clearance and fastening, checking dust caps.

Steering: check clearances, check bellows for leaks and damage.

Power steering: checking the oil level.

Brakes, tires, wheels

Brake system: check brake fluid lines, hoses, brake cylinders and connection elements for leaks and damage. Check brake fluid level, top up if necessary.

Brake friction linings: thickness control front and rear.

Tires: Checking tread depth and air pressure; check tires for wear and damage (including spare tire). If wear is abnormal, check wheel alignment (work in a repair shop).

Wheel nuts: tighten to a torque of 100 Nm.

Electrical equipment

All electrical consumers: check operation.

Lighting devices: check and adjust headlights if necessary.

Sound signal: checking.

Windscreen wipers: checking the windscreen wiper rubber for wear.

Windscreen washer system: checking operation, checking position of washer nozzles, adding fluid.

Battery: Check voltage and electrolyte level.

Reset the service interval indicator, if equipped.

Car body, car interior

Engine hood: check locking/stopping hooks for functionality, lubrication.

Car base protection and varnish coating: check.

Seat belts: check for damage.

Additionally, carry out the following work

Every 30,000 km

Intake air filter: replace the filter insert (more often in case of heavy dustiness).

Car interior air filter: replacing the filter insert.

Diesel engine: every 2 years or 20,000 km

Fuel filter: replacing the insert.

Exhaust system: replacing the CTV filter.

Tightening the turbocharger and exhaust manifold bolts.

Diesel engine: every 40,000 km

Valve clearance: check and adjust if necessary.

Diesel engine: every 60,000 km

Timing belt: replace both belts.

Diesel engine: every 80,000 km

Checking the injection nozzles, replacing them if necessary (previously - in case of strong smoke formation, work in a repair shop).

Carburetor engine: every 3 years or 45,000 km

Spark plugs: replacement.

Under severe operating conditions with high dust content: check the pulse air filter insert, clean and lubricate if necessary.

Every three years

Brake fluid: replacement.

Cooling system: checking the closing cap.

Carburetor engine: every 90,000 km

Direct injection vehicle: replacing the fuel filter.

Carburetor engine: every 120,000 km (at least once every five years)

Toothed belt: replacement.
