Resetting the service interval indicator (Mondeo 1)

Depending on the model and equipment, an additional signaling system is installed in the car. It controls the operation of the external lighting, indicates the opening of the door, worn friction brake linings of the front or rear disc brakes, as well as the outside temperature. In addition, the need for maintenance is indicated by the illumination of the wrench symbol (arrow) on the control panel. The maintenance indicator lights up after reaching the set mileage (10,000 for a diesel engine or 15,000 km for a carburetor engine) after the last service. After performing maintenance, you must reset the service indicator to its original state.

Open the glove box lid and pull it out of the hinges with a sharp movement.

Turn on the ignition without starting the engine.

Turn on the ignition without starting the engine.


Within four seconds, operate the switch behind the glove box.

Turn the ignition off and on again. The service indicator should no longer be illuminated.

Secure the glove box lid to the hinges and close it.
