Replacing an additional brake light (Mondeo 4)

You will need a flat-blade screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the trunk lid trim by unscrewing the trim fastening holders from the holes in the lid reinforcement.

3. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the additional brake light by pressing the locking tab.

4. Use a screwdriver to press the four spring clips securing the additional brake light…

NOTE: In the photo for item 4, the two lower fasteners are not visible. This is how the fasteners for the additional brake light are located.

5….and remove the brake light.

6. Install the additional brake light and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
