Headlight replacement (Mondeo 4)

The headlight is removed if it is damaged and to gain access to other units. The internal elements of the headlight are not supplied separately as spare parts, therefore, if they are damaged (for example, if the electric light corrector fails), the headlight is replaced as an assembly.

NOTE: The work is shown using the example of the left headlight, the right headlight is removed in the same way, the difference is in the symmetrically located mounting bolts.


You will need a TORX T30 key.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

3….and the right bolts securing the headlight to the radiator frame…

4….and move the headlight away from the body, removing the fasteners in its lower part from the holes in the frame.

5. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the headlight by squeezing its mounting clips and remove the headlight.

6. Install the headlight in the reverse order of removal.
