This twin-block engine is made entirely of aluminum. Four overhead camshafts are driven by two control chains. Other features of this engine include electronic engine management, fully electronic ignition system, electronic sequential fuel injection system, exhaust gas recirculation system and dual catalytic converters in the exhaust system.
The standard engine produces 125 kW at 6,250 мин⁻¹. The 200 hp engine is based on this engine, but its output has been increased to 151 kW (205 hp) by the following modifications:
- new camshafts with variable valve timing;
- modified intake manifold;
- modified exhaust pipes;
- compression ratio 10.25:1;
- modified connecting rods;
- modernized exhaust gas regulation.
