Checking the hydraulic switch (Mondeo 1)

            0

The hydraulic switch should be checked if the oil pressure indicator light on the instrument panel does not light at all or lights up constantly. If the light lights up constantly, the oil level and pressure should be checked first. If the oil level and pressure are OK, the following check should be performed.

Turn off the engine and disconnect the hydraulic switch plug. For the location of the hydraulic switch, see the section "Checking the Oil Pressure".

Start the engine and place the plug on the ground (eg engine block).

If the indicator light still comes on, the hydraulic switch must be replaced. If the indicator light does not come on, either the light itself is defective or the electrical circuit is open. Check the electrical circuit according to electrical circuit.

Connect the electrical wire to the hydraulic switch.
