Headlight bulb replacement (Mondeo 1)

Removal

Fold the cap "1" on the back of the headlight down by pressing down both holders "2" and thereby releasing the cap.



Low beam bulb: Disconnect the wire clip "3" and fold it down. Remove the bulb "4" Disconnect the connector.

High beam bulb: Turn bulb holder "5" to the left and pull out. Disconnect the connector.

Attention! To remove the left lamp, you must first remove the battery, see item 20.14.

Fold the spring retaining clip away from the lamp holder to release the lamp. Remove the lamp.



Headlight bulb: remove the bulb socket from the reflector, then remove bulb "7" from the socket.

Installation

Headlight bulb: insert the bulb into the socket, insert the bulb socket into the reflector until it stops.



High beam bulb: Put on the connector. Insert the bulb with the flat side down into the bulb holder "1". Both pins of the bulb must enter the holes of the holder. Secure the retaining clip "2" by pulling the retaining clip out a little if necessary and then pressing in the direction of the arrow. Insert the bulb holder, turn to the right and lock.

Low beam bulb: Insert the bulb and secure it with the wire clip. Put on the connector.

Install the cap from below onto the back side of the headlight, press firmly from above and fix. Check the strength of the headlight cap installation.
