Warning! Do not touch the glass bulb with bare fingers. Fingerprints evaporate during the heating of the glass bulb of the lamp and settle on the reflector, darkening it. Be sure to replace the incandescent lamp only with a lamp of the same design. Remove finger stains with a clean, lint-free cloth and alcohol.
Lighting and light signaling system (Mondeo 1)
The vehicle lighting system includes: headlights, brake lights, reversing lights, turn signals with flashing lights, fog lights, number plate lights and interior lighting. Instrument lighting is described in Chapter "Instrumentation". Incandescent lamps "age" over time and fail. They should be replaced approximately every two years, even if they are still in good working order. This does not apply to halogen lamps, which are used, for example, in headlights. Their service life is much longer and they should only be replaced when they fail. A lamp with reduced brightness can also be identified by a black coating on the glass bulb. Before replacing the lamp, switch off the corresponding power consumer.
