Removing and installing the rear seat (Mondeo 4)

The rear seat cushion consists of two parts, each of which can be removed separately. The left part of the cushion is shown being removed, the right part is removed in the same way.

You will need: TORX T40 key and flat-blade screwdriver.

NOTE: The rear seat cushion brackets are secured to the floor pan with screws covered by decorative trim.

1. Pry the bracket cover from below..

10. Unscrew the middle bracket of the rear seat back axles.

11. Remove the screw from the support bracket of the left rear seat back.

12. Remove the rear seat backs from the vehicle interior.

13. Install the rear seat and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
