Precautions when working with the power supply system (Mondeo 2)

            0

When working with the fuel system, fuel leakage may occur, which may cause a fire.

When working with the power supply system, observe the following precautions:

- Before starting work, disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery;

- prevent cables from touching the battery terminals;

- remove fuel from the tank only in the open air. To do this, you will need a suitable pumping device (for example, a pump with an exhaust bellows);

Warning: Never pour fuel through the fuel level sensor hole by tipping it over or sucking it with your mouth - this may lead to poisoning from toxic fuel additives!

- keep a fire extinguisher (foam or powder) nearby;

- Never drain fuel over an inspection pit. Evaporating gases are heavier than air and may accumulate in the inspection pit. This may cause poisoning or explosion hazard;

- make sure that there are no electrical appliances, open fire, heat sources or sparks in the room while working with fuel;

- fuel can only be poured into a lockable container with clear markings. For this purpose, there are special containers with protection against ignition and a lock with a pressure equalizer;

- There are residual gases in the empty gas tank. They are also dangerous, so perform all work very carefully.
