Winter tires (Mondeo 2)

Winter tires perform more reliably on snow or ice than summer tires. They are made of a special rubber compound that grips wet or snowy roads better at low temperatures. A tread depth of at least 4 mm is a prerequisite for good transmission of braking and traction forces to the road - a smaller depth is not allowed, such a tire cannot be used in winter. Winter tires should be installed on all four wheels in any case - having a combination of summer and winter tires is dangerous. Narrow winter tires are quite suitable. It is better to invest the money saved on wide tires in suitable rims. Usually, the wheels should be balanced after each installation.
