Removing and installing the anti-roll bar (Mondeo 2)

If you only need to remove the stabilizer, the crossmember can be left on the car. For this job, raise the rear of the car.

Remove the anti-roll bar as follows:

- unscrew the nuts on the rear side of the front wishbone, remove the rod and remove the bushings;

- unscrew the nuts on the rear side of the front wishbone, remove the rod and remove the bushings;

- unscrew the bolts shown in Fig. 213, remove the mounting clamps, remove the bushings from the stabilizer bar.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order. The rubber stops are easily replaced. The clamp bolts are smoothly tightened to a torque of 23 N·m. The bushings are inserted through the rods, the rods are inserted through the transverse arm and tightened with nuts from the rear side to a torque of 35 N·m.
