Checking the technical condition (Mondeo 1 and 2)

            0

Below are recommendations for checking the technical condition of the car from the point of view of its readiness for the annual technical inspection. Obviously, you will not be able to determine the technical condition of the car as professionally as it is done at a technical diagnostic station. However, the checks indicated below will allow you to identify, and possibly eliminate, faults before presenting the car for technical inspection.

If the component being checked raises doubts about its functionality, the inspector can decide on its suitability at his own discretion. In this case, his decision will depend on how friendly he is towards you. The appearance of the car is of no small importance for this: if the car is clean and it is obvious that it is well maintained, the inspector will most likely be inclined to consider it in good working order than in the case when the car is clearly in a neglected state.

The vehicle condition requirements listed in this manual are based on the regulations in force at the time of writing. These requirements have become more stringent over time, although some concessions are made for older vehicles.
