Cooling liquid

Coolant (coolant) in Mondeo it consists of a mixture of lime-free water, anti-freeze and anti-corrosion agents. In factories, Ford spills coolant, which includes about 50% of the refrigerant in its composition (ESMD-97B49-A) and 50% water. This is quite sufficient for reliable protection at -30°C. Only at about -38°C does the liquid begin to solidify (solidification temperature) - a value that for our latitudes has only theoretical significance. Most liquids lose their properties after four years «work», and therefore must be replaced. For refilling, a standard anti-freeze agent is used, which, according to the manufacturer, can be mixed with water. Be careful with cheap products: they do not have sufficient corrosion protection and, moreover, they can corrode light metal alloys. It is generally advisable to use only those products that meet Ford specifications.
