Replacing the engine control unit (Mondeo 2)

The engine management system operates on an ignition module with 104 contact pins.

To remove the control unit:

- disconnect the wire from the "–" terminal of the battery;

- remove the power steering reservoir;

- unscrew the screw of the large multi-pin plug and the mounting screw;

- remove the control unit.

Installation is carried out in reverse order, taking into account the following:

- First, tighten the multi-pin plug mounting screw by hand;

- then tighten it with a wrench.
