General information about the ignition system

            0

The ignition system of all engines is connected to the fuel injection system and is controlled by an electronic engine control unit.

The engine is equipped with an ignition system without an ignition distributor. The function of the ignition distributor is performed by the ignition coil. Each time the current from the ignition system is applied to the ignition coil, the latter supplies a spark simultaneously to two cylinders: «ignited» currently the cylinder (in the piston position at TDC) and to the cylinder during the exhaust stroke.
