Before replacing the wiper bearing, remove only the aerodynamic protection, remove the wiper arm as described above. On fig. 294 shows how the lever is attached to the spindle.
Replace the wiper bearing as follows:
- Remove facing in a motor compartment directly under a windscreen as it is described above;
- unscrew the wiper arm bolts (see above description) and remove the entire wiper assembly;
- wring out the wiper drive with a special wrench from the bolts with a ball head;
- remove the cover at the end of the spindle shaft, wring out the spring lock ring located behind it and remove both special washers, as well as the spring washers, pay attention to their location and removal procedure;
- Install the new spindle in reverse order, lubricating before assembling.
Install in the reverse order of removal. Wrap fastening of the lever of a screen wiper the moment of 8 Н·м.
