Pic. 1.13. Cruise control keys: 1 - "ON" key (activating cruise control); 2 - key "SET +" increase the speed; 3 - "RES" key (restoring cruise control); 4 - key "SET -" speed reduction; 5 - "OFF" key for turning off the cruise control; 6 - "CAN" key for temporary deactivation of cruise control; 7 - key to reduce the distance (vehicle with adaptive cruise control); 8 - key to increase the distance (vehicle with adaptive cruise control).

The cruise control system allows you to control the speed of the car using the buttons on the steering wheel. The cruise control function is available at speeds above 40 km/h.

WARNING Use of cruise control in heavy traffic is not recommended (for example in the city), on slippery and winding roads, and in other driving situations that can cause you to lose control of your vehicle.

The cruise control system is operated using six buttons located on the steering wheel.

To turn on cruise control, press key 1 (pic. 1.13) («ON») …

... and to turn off - key 5 («OFF»). Once switched on, the system is ready to memorize the desired constant speed, deactivate and then activate the cruise control. When the system is turned on, the previously set speed is deleted from memory.

To set a constant speed, accelerate the vehicle to the desired speed (at least 40 km/h) and press key 2 («SET+») or 4 («SET–»). The control lamp in the instrument cluster will light up. You can now take your foot off the accelerator pedal.

NOTE: Cruise control maintains engine torque at a level that maintains the vehicle at the set speed. However, since the cruise control system is not connected to the braking system in any way, when driving on slopes, the vehicle speed may exceed the set speed. In this case, if you downshift and press the 3 («RES»), the vehicle will return to the set speed.

With each subsequent short press of the keys 2 («SET+») or 4 («SET–») (see fig. 1.13) the value of the sustained speed will increase or decrease accordingly. If you hold these keys, the car will accelerate accordingly (without depressing the accelerator pedal) or slow down. After releasing the keys, the current speed will be set as the set one. To temporarily increase the speed, press the accelerator pedal, after releasing the pedal, the previously selected constant speed will automatically be set.

To cancel maintaining the set speed, press the key 6 ("CAN") – the control lamp in a combination of devices will go out. The set speed is also canceled automatically when the brake pedal is pressed. To return to the previously set constant speed after canceling it, press key 3 («RES») (see fig. 1.13).

NOTE: On top Titanium and Titanium Executive vehicles, adaptive cruise control can be installed, in which the system will speed up or slow down your car while maintaining a predetermined distance. For this, two keys 7 and 8 are used (see fig. 1.13), located on the steering wheel.
