Oil leaks (Mondeo 2)

Inspect the engine and gearbox from all sides and identify areas of oil sweating. It is considered normal if a small amount of oil is released. To identify leaks, clean the corresponding areas on the engine, take a test drive and, after a few kilometers, inspect the areas where oil is leaking again.

Pay particular attention to the following elements:

- seal on the cylinder head cover;

- front cover on the cylinder head;

- crankcase ventilation hoses;

- oil pan;

- oil filter;

- drain plug;

- timing mechanism cover.
