The rechargeable battery (Mondeo 2)

When disconnecting the battery, please note the following:

- Do not disconnect the battery while the engine is running;

- if the airbag is installed, wait for some time after disconnecting the battery before carrying out any work;

- when the battery is disconnected, the information is erased from the memory of electronic devices. Remember the code of the car radio to activate it again. The clock also stops when the battery is disconnected. After finishing work, set it up again;

- certain anti-theft alarm systems are very "sensitive": after connecting the battery, an audible signal may be activated;

- after connecting the battery, the electronic engine control unit comes into operation after a short test drive.
