Starter fault diagnostics
If the starter does not turn, then first of all you should check whether there is a voltage of at least 10 V at terminal 50 of the traction relay, which is necessary for retraction. If the specified voltage is received, then it is necessary to check the lines that belong to the electrical circuit of the starter according to the electrical diagram. Whether the starter is retracted with full battery voltage can be checked as follows:
- Do not engage any gear, turn on the ignition.
- Shunt terminals 30 and 50 on the starter with a wire (cross-section of at least 4 mm²), see also the circuit diagram.
If the starter starts normally, then the fault lies in the wires going to the starter. In this case, check the starter with it removed.
Test condition: The connections must be tightened to the limit and they must not be oxidized.
