General information about wheels and tires (Mondeo 1)

            0

Depending on the model, FORD MONDEO cars are equipped with wheels and tires of different sizes. Along with the rim width, the wheel offset is also important. The wheel offset is the size from the center of the wheel to the mating surface. All wheel disks have projections pressed into the rim surface that prevent the tubeless tire from moving away from the rim edge even when driving on a sharp turn. If tires/wheels are installed on the car that are not marked in the car documents, they must be entered there. As a rule, permission from FORD is required for this.

Attention! Technical progress does not stand still. It may be that other tire pressures and other wheel/tire combinations are allowed for older cars. Therefore, it is recommended to find out the modern tire characteristics for your car at specialized stations.

Warning! The rules prohibit the use of tires if the tread depth is less than 1.6 mm in any place. despite the fact that in other places the tire tread depth is more than 1.6 mm. For safety reasons, it is recommended to replace summer tires if the tread depth is about 2 mm, and winter tires if the tread depth is about 4 mm.
