Ignition advance check

            0

1. Ignition advance is fully controlled by the ECU. (On models with automatic transmission, the ECU controls a separately installed ignition module). Therefore, ignition timing cannot be set. The parameters specified in the Specifications are for reference only. At "control" them with a stroboscope connected to the system at idle, the values obtained may differ significantly.

2. Ignition advance cannot only be adjusted, but also checked without special diagnostic equipment. This check should be carried out by dealers.

3. Please note that the octane switch can be set to the position corresponding to the use of 95th gasoline. This switch is located on the bulkhead of the engine compartment. If you remove the plug from the switch, the engine will be able to run on 91 gasoline (see fig. 5.3).

Note: Please consult your dealer regarding the use of gasoline brand. The above octane numbers naturally refer to unleaded gasoline. Do not use leaded gasoline if the vehicle is equipped with a catalytic converter.
