OHV engine starter mounting bolts





Withdrawal



1. Remove ground wire from battery.

2. Raise the front of the car and secure it on stands.

3. Drain engine oil.

4. Remove cover from clutch housing.

5. Remove starter.

6. Unscrew the oil pan mounting bolts: 18 bolts for petrol engines or 16 bolts for diesel engines.

7. Remove oil sump.

Installation



1. Clean the contact surfaces of the engine and oil pan.

2. In gasoline engines, insert new seals into the grooves of the oil pump housing and from the flywheel side and then glue new cork gaskets to the cylinder block, install the oil sump, screw in the fastening bolts by hand and finally tighten them to 10 Nm.



3. In diesel engines, apply a sealant to the cylinder block (places of application of the sealing mass are indicated by arrows), install the oil sump, screw in the fastening bolts by hand, starting from the corners, and tighten them evenly to 10 Nm.

4. Further installation steps are performed in the reverse order of removal.
