Examination
1. If the fan does not turn on when the engine is hot and the thermostat is working properly, you need to check the fan temperature sensor.
2. Warm up the engine until the temperature gauge needle is in the red sector of the scale. The fan should turn on. Otherwise, turn off the engine, remove the connector from the temperature sensor and short-circuit the contacts on the connector with an additional wire.
3. If the fan operates when the ignition is turned on, the fan temperature sensor is faulty and must be replaced.
