Checking the oil level in an automatic transmission (Mondeo 2)

            0

The oil level should be checked after the ride, when the oil is still warm. To check the oil level, follow these steps:

- place the car on a flat horizontal surface;

- apply the parking brake and ask an assistant to fully depress the brake pedal;

- when the engine is idling, ask an assistant to change gears in sequence at least three times;

- set the gearshift lever to the "P" position and wait one to two minutes to allow the oil to distribute evenly again;

- remove the dipstick (with the engine running), wipe the oil off the dipstick with a clean cloth and reinsert it into the guide tube;

- remove the dipstick and check if the oil level is between the "Min" and "Max" marks. If not, top up the level to the norm.

The filling volume of the gearbox, including the oil cooler, is 7.2 liters.
