Lifting a car (Mondeo 1)

            0

When working under a vehicle, if it is not installed on a lifting platform, it must be placed on two or four stable supports. Never work under a vehicle if it is installed on unreliable supports and is only supported by a car jack. Danger to life!

Only lift an unloaded vehicle.

Caution! Place appropriate rubber or wooden pads to avoid damaging the underbody of the vehicle when lifting. Under no circumstances should the vehicle rest on or be lifted by the engine or part of the gearbox.

Wheels that remain on the ground when lifted should be secured with chocks to prevent them from rolling away. Do not rely on the parking brake, as it may become disengaged during certain repairs.

Place the vehicle on stands on a level, stable surface.

So support the car so that one leg of the stand is pointing outward.

Caution: Never lift the vehicle under the front axle crossmember or under the axle suspension link.
