Noises in the gearbox result from worn gears or shaft bearings. Usually noises appear on cars with significant mileage. Noise can be caused by the following reasons:
- a roaring noise in only one gear means that the gearing of the corresponding pair of gears of the corresponding gear is worn out;
- noise in all gears means wear on the main gear or in the bearings of the gearbox shafts;
- rough noises, which are heard only on a warm gearbox, indicate the beating of the synchronizer blocking rings;
- if any gear does not turn on, then the corresponding gear shift fork or related parts have broken.
