Caution: Before diagnosing brake system faults, ensure that the tires are in good condition, that the tire pressure and front wheel alignment are correct, and that the vehicle is evenly loaded. The car pulls to the side when braking
- The front or rear brake pads on one side are worn, defective, damaged or dirty (Chapter 9).
- It gets stuck (partially or completely) piston in the front caliper or in the rear brake cylinder (Chapter 9).
- The friction linings installed on the right and left brakes differ from each other (Chapter 9).
- The brake caliper mounting bolts have become loose (Chapter 9).
- The rear drum brake cover mounting bolts have become loose (Chapter 9).
- One of the steering or suspension components is worn or damaged (Chapter 10).
Noise (a creaking noise from friction or a shrill squeal) when braking

Excessive brake pedal travel
- The automatic rear brake adjustment mechanism is faulty (Chapter 9).

- The vacuum booster is faulty (Chapter 9).
- The vacuum pump is faulty (Chapter 9).
When pressing the brake pedal there is a "softness" feeling
