Vibration when accelerating or decelerating the vehicle

• The driveshaft is unbalanced or incorrectly installed (Chapter 8).
• The bolts securing the propeller shaft flange are missing (Chapter 8).
• Insufficient lubrication in the splined joint (Chapters 1 and 8).
• The universal joints are excessively worn (Chapter 8).

Noise (a creaking noise from friction or a high-pitched squeak) when moving slowly

• The universal joints are excessively worn (Chapter 8).
• The center support bearing is excessively worn (Chapter 8).

Noise (tapping or clicking) when accelerating or decelerating

• The bolts securing the propeller shaft flange have become loose (Chapter 8).
• Insufficient lubrication in the splined joint (Chapters 1 and 8)
• The universal joints are excessively worn (Chapter 8).
