High fuel consumption


  • The air filter element is clogged or dirty (Chapter 1).
  • The pre-heating system is faulty (Chapter 5).
  • The idle speed is not adjusted correctly (Chapter 1).
  • Incorrect adjustment of the high pressure fuel pump (Chapter 4).
  • Brake sticking (Chapter 9).
  • Low tire pressure (Chapter 1).

Fuel leaks or fuel smell


  • The fuel tank, pipes or their connections are damaged (Chapters 1 and 4).

Excessive noise or "smoking" from the exhaust system


  • Gas leakage through joints in the exhaust system or exhaust manifold (Chapter 4).
  • Rusted or damaged mufflers and exhaust pipes (Chapter 4).
  • Damage to the fasteners causing the exhaust pipe to come into contact with the body or suspension elements (Chapter 4).
