Fuel quality adjustment

Ford-Mondeo engines typically use Super gasoline (ROZ 95) lead-free. If it is not possible to refuel such fuel, then normal fuel without lead can be refueled temporarily (ROZ 91). Theoretical octane number (ROZ) indicates the anti-knock properties of the fuel. Before refueling with normal lead-free fuel (ROZ 91), it is necessary to change the ignition to a different ignition characteristic by removing the compensating plug.

Loosen the plastic retaining bolt for the windshield washer reservoir and lift the reservoir.



Remove jumper -2- from compensation plug -1-. The compensation plug is located on the front wall, close to the power steering reservoir.

If Super petrol is refilled, connect the plug jumper.

Attention! Using normal fuel may result in reduced power and increased fuel consumption.

Attention! You can fill up with higher octane fuel without any hesitation, for example. super plus (ROZ 98). and no need to reset the ignition system).
