Removal
Remove the instrument cluster.
Unscrew the union nut on the gearbox and remove the speedometer drive cable from the gearbox.
Mark the location of the speedometer drive cable in the engine compartment and remove the cable sealing ring from the engine compartment bulkhead.
Caution: Incorrect routing of the speedometer drive cable may cause speedometer readings to fluctuate, noise in the speedometer area, or the speedometer drive cable to break.
Release the speedometer drive cable from the engine compartment mountings and cut the clamps if necessary. Remove the speedometer drive cable into the engine compartment.
Installation
The speedometer drive cable is installed in the reverse order of removal.
