2. Install the oil deflector cap on the valve stem. In order not to damage the working edges of the oil deflector cap, wrap the grooves on the end of the valve stem with adhesive tape, which must be removed after installing the cap. Insert the oil deflector caps until they stop using tool 21-007 (A - oil deflector cap, B - lower spring plate).
Caution! Install only new oil seals.
3. Install the spring and spring plate on the valve, compress the spring and insert the valve crackers. Install the spring with a smaller pitch of turns towards the head.
4. Install the remaining valves in the same manner and check the installation by hitting the ends of the valve stems with a soft-tipped hammer.
5. Install the camshaft with a new sealing ring.
6. Lubricate the hydraulic lifters with oil (preferably SAE 90 SQM 2C-9002-AA) and insert them into the sockets from which they were removed.
7. Install the spacers, valve drive levers, guide plates in their places and tighten the valve drive lever mounting nuts. When installing the levers, it is necessary to use new nuts.
Caution! When installing the valve lever, turn the camshaft to a position in which the corresponding hydraulic tappet is adjacent to the base circle of the cam, i.e. is in the lower position. Only in this position is the correct installation of the lever ensured.
8. Install the intake and exhaust manifolds with new gaskets.
9. Install the thermostat housing with a new gasket.
