2. Install and secure the main bearing shells and thrust half rings with grease so that the grease grooves face the crankshaft.
3. Lubricate the crankshaft main journals with engine oil and install it into the cylinder block.
4. Install the main bearing caps with liners in accordance with the markings and tighten the bolts.
5. Check the axial movement of the crankshaft using a dial indicator. If the movement exceeds the permissible limits, it is necessary to install thicker thrust half rings.
6. Lubricate the cylinders with engine oil and install the pistons with rings and connecting rods.
7. Install the oil pressure sensor.
8. Install the oil pump, having first removed the segment key from the crankshaft and wrapped the front end of the shaft with adhesive tape to preserve the working edges of the pump sealing ring. When installing a new pump, fill the pump with engine oil. Install the pump only with a new gasket. After installing the pump, remove the adhesive tape and replace the key.
9. Install the oil receiver.
10. Install a thrust washer, curved side facing the pump, and a toothed pulley on the front end of the crankshaft.
11. Install the water pump with a new gasket.
12. Install the tension roller with the spring, move it until the spring is fully compressed and tighten the bolts.
13. Install the support sleeve of the rear crankshaft seal ring with a new gasket and the seal ring, having previously lubricated its working edges.
14. Install the rear shield on the cylinder block.
15. Install the flywheel on the crankshaft and screw it in place.
16. Install the clutch, having first centered it.
17. Install the oil pan and drain plug.
18. Install the cylinder head using new mounting bolts.
19. Install the intake and exhaust manifolds.
20. Install the timing belt and adjust its tension.
21. Install the cylinder head cover.
22. Install the crankcase ventilation hose.
23. install spark plugs.
24. Install the crankshaft V-pulley.
25. Install the oil filter.
26. Install the generator, fuel pump, thermostat housing, ignition distributor with cover and connect the high-voltage wires.
